Spread across 300 acres of greenery, the park, just 1km away from MG Road, was named after Bangalore's longest serving comissioner Sir Mark Cubbon and was planned and laid out by Sir Richard Sankey the then Chief Engineer of Mysore in 1864 AD.

Cubbon Park houses one of the biggest libraries - The City Central Library. Lawns with vibrant flower beds, shady bowers and flowering trees, make this an ideal place for fitness freeks and the elderly to take their morning jogs or evening walks.
